FirstBank of Nigeria on Wednesday inaugurated its “Digital Xperience Centre” at the Banana Island Front Gate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
In his speech at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, FirstBank of Nigeria and subsidiaries, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, who inaugurated the Centre, said it was the fourth such state-of-the-art facility in the country and the second in the state to be inaugurated by the bank.
He said that the establishment of digital experience centres aligned with the bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and staying at the forefront of financial innovation.
According to him, the world class digital experience centre will give residents and even non-resident who have access to the high-brow Banana Island estate “the opportunity of carrying out their banking transactions without any human intervention.”
He commended the Banana Island Property Owners & Residents Association (BIPORAL) for its support in ensuring the successful completion of the Centre.
He said: “I must confess that in the last ten years that I’ve been either as ED or CEO of Firstbank, we have developed a very strong, mutually beneficial relationship with BIPORAL. Let me assure you that that relationship will continue. It is a relationship that we cherish and continue to invest in it.
“What we are commissioning today is a world class digital experience center, where residents and even non-resident who have access to this highly prestigious estate, who have the opportunity of carrying out their banking transactions without any human intervention.
“Whether it is to do transfer, to issue cards, whatever they want to do, it can be done without any human intervention. And we believe this basically complements the high quality estate and that it will allow the high net worth individuals who are resident in this estate to also have access to world-class banking services.
“We are excited about what we can achieve together and we believe this is just the start of another round of very strong and mutually beneficial relationship.”
In a chat with journalists on the sidelines of the event, Calistus Obetta, Group Executive Officer for Technology Digital Innovation and Banking Services for the bank, said that the financial institution had ensured that measures that will address the issue of security breaches were inbuilt in the Centre.
